During this period the big special work has been done in the South America by foreign travellers. Largest of them were: X. The rivers which in 1850-1866 has made shooting and has plotted the Bolivian plateau; R.Ave-Lallman (1858-1859) and the fan-behave in a queer way (1857-1860), the let out reports on the travel across Brazil, and Behave in a queer way was the pioneer in research of a southern part of Brazil; botanik X. Karsten, working in Venezuela and Ecuador (1849-1856), both M.Wagner - in Ecuador and Colombia (1857-1860).

Following names Should be mentioned also: Halfeld, the Dignity-fransisko investigating the river (1852-1854), Pejdzh, working in a valley of Parana-Paraguay, and the English geographer Markhem who has made travel through woods of east part of the Peruvian Andes.

During the period between 1862 and 1880 it was possible to achieve some reduction of a white stain of Amazonian lowland and more precisely to define a direction of a current of the rivers. Thereupon especially it is necessary to mention A.Wallace's big achievements and X. Bejtsa. Both of them have gone to 1848 in Steam and have stayed in this city of one and a half year. Last months 1848 they have made expedition upwards across Tocantins, and in 1849 again have gone in Kametu (landing stage in lower reaches of Tocantins). After that they have risen across Amazon to Santarema and Obidosa, and therefrom - to mouth Rio-Negro where have left. Wallace has gone to Orinoco and has lived month in Show; in 1852 it has come back to England. Bejts has proceeded on the main channel of Amazon. On 600 km to Egasa where has lived more year then has returned in Steam.
