Northwest Africa (1649-1889)
During that fortieth anniversary to which consideration we pass, researches of the North Africa as a whole are characterised by four moments. Since Bart's first travel to 1849 and up to the period end, researchers more and more close a ring round Sahara, not having managed however to subdue the desert; this process includes also research of the next territories to the north, the West and the south from desert. Taking priority figures among researchers are Bart, the first started business, further Rolfe and Benzhe (Вinger) which this period becomes isolated. The second line is the communication establishment between research of a valley of Nile and suburbs of Northwest Africa. The largest researchers moved from the east to the river Congo or lake Chad. Here figures SHvejnfurta, Nahtigalja and the Cadet are allocated. The third line is slow enough course of research of Northeast Africa where it is impossible to name almost any name which would be allocated among the others. At last, we are witnesses of continuation of searches of sources of Nile; name Samuela Bejkera is connected with searches from Egypt; however this part of researches so it is closely connected with works in the Central Africa, that we will consider it in corresponding section.
