Sahara after 1839

Last on time of research by area of Africa is, as one would expect, the desert Sahara. A number of travellers crossed it in XIX century, but always on defined karavannym to ways. Last period considered by us (1849-1889) has ended with unsuccessful attempt of Frenchmen to master the western suburb of Sahara. However in the decade which has followed after 1889, desert nevertheless it was possible to subdue, and since 1900 we are witnesses of research of many till that time not its known areas.
