In 1825 Klapperton has landed at Guinean coast near to Lagos and has made the second attempt, this time on other route, to resolve a problem of Niger. It has reached Niger at Bussy and has proceeded to Sokoto. Here and it has fallen a victim of a climate and illnesses, and from all expedition in live there was only one participant - Richard Lender who has hardly reached coast. As a result of all it in Europe the impression was made, that the combination of adverse geographical and political conditions creates such obstacles which neither bravery, nor cunning to overcome it will not be possible. Attempts to resolve a problem of Niger, for some time have stopped.

In the meantime some small expeditions have passed on various areas of Northwest Africa.

The Political conflict has caused a parcel in 1817 Jams and Boudicha in the country ashanti, and Boudich used all small possibilities available for it for studying of this country and its people. Next year Mole has opened sources of the rivers Gambias, Rio Grande and Senegal, and Heat and Dochard have passed ways Mungo of Park in pool of Gambia. In 1822 major Leng has established, where there are sources of Niger though itself to reach them not a smog, and in three years it has made the way from Tripoli in Timbuktu where has lived month. Leng was the first researcher of new time who managed to reach Timbuktu, and for this honour it has paid with a life as he hardly has had time to leave a city in a way back on desert as has been killed.
