In the first years of the considered period German researchers have extended the activity to territory of a present English colony of Kenya. Here in 1889 of J. Pigot investigated on considerable distance the river Tana. Next year its work was continued by German Petere who thundered here by the political enterprises and also has contributed a small share in studying of the river of Tana. In 1891 F.Dandas has made film-making works on this river and that has continued work of the predecessors. The attempts to achieve political domination in internal areas Petere has caused irritation of Englishmen which in a counterbalance to it have undertaken a number of measures and strenuously undertook research as Kenya, and Uganda. In 1889-1890 Jackson and Gedzh have made travel through area Kikujju-from Mombasa to Uganda have laid a new way on the West from lake Najvasha to lake Victoria. In 1891 McDonald has begun the researches of a line of the railway rather valuable to geography from Mombasa to Uganda. It managed to capture new and to specify details before known territory. For geography F.Lu-garda, Williams's political and military activity and the Portal in Uganda had so important consequences. Though Lugard itself did not give any scientific value to the travel, it managed to collect a lot of a valuable material on district to the north from lake Victoria, and also between this lake and Albert's lake. Undertaken in 1893-1895 nejmannom zoological expedition promoted the further knowledge of southern Uganda, and also a strip of territory from Kilimandzharo to the southern end of lake of Rudolf.
