In October, 1857 Bejts again left Steam and on following three and a half a year has made headquarters Santarem, whence has undertaken set of travel, including one upwards on the river Tapazhss. After that it has returned in Egas, has lived there four years and then has risen upwards across Amazon to a Font-boa, laying approximately at 66 ° z. d. He assumed to proceed to a foot of the Andes, but illness has forced it to return in Egas, and in February, 1859 it has definitively returned to England. It has collected a collection from more than 14 thousand samples, including 8 thousand to science absolutely unknown.

In 1864 Bejts has held a post of the assistant to the secretary of the London geographical society and has devoted the rest of the life to to transfer to the interested valuable experience of the life in the tropical countries of the South America.
